The Art of Ajrakh
A block-printing tradition over a thousand years old, still practiced by hand today.
Ajrakh is one of the world's oldest surviving textile printing traditions, believed to have originated over a thousand years ago and passed down through generations of artisan communities in Kutch. Each piece is the result of a meticulous, multi-day process — one that no machine can fully replicate.

Why Ajrakh Takes Time
A single Ajrakh piece can involve up to 16 individual steps of printing, dyeing, and washing — sometimes taking over two weeks to complete. This isn't inefficiency; it's the reason the color runs so deep and lasts so long. When you choose Ajrakh, you choose patience made visible.
